About Your Hosts
Our family consists of Silke (German) & Callum (British) and our 10-year-old daughter as well as our dog Akira and our outdoor cat Bagheera.
We moved here from Dubai where we lived and worked until summer 2008 and yearned for putting down roots in an authentic place with outstanding natural beauty where could spend more time together as a family (prior to our time in the UAE our management jobs had taken us to the UK, US, and Switzerland) and work and live more independently.
We actively looked for the most beautiful places to live in worldwide; we considered New Zealand (too far from family), Cornwall (beautiful but expensive), Vancouver Island (gorgeous but takes too long to get a residence permit) and finally found this idyllic and undiscovered corner of Germany 5km from the Austrian border and the beginning of the Tirol.
We even had another British/French family from Dubai moving here with us and meanwhile there is a small but growing international community here. We are more than happy to give you more details about our story
