Here are the exact 2009 dates for the Christmas Markets in the Neuschwanstein Castle region:
NOV 28 4pm and 8pm: Advent Singing in the Waltenhofen Church, Schwangau
The solemn sounds of Alpine Advent Singing will get you into the Christmas spirit. Tickets cost 10,00 € (kids below 15y. pay 5,00 €) and are available from the tourist information Schwangau, phone: 08362/8198-32, or fax: 8198-25 and e-mail: info@schwangau.de.
DEC 6 from 2-8pm: Culinary Nikolaus Market Schwangau
For the 4th time, Schwangau invites to its charming culinary St. Nikolaus market offering home-made specialities as well as the traditional Christmas sweets. Along the road in the middle of the village will be beautifully decorated lit-up stands displaying their local signature dishes such as “Ziegernudeln” – a traditional dish made from “Quark” , a thick yoghurt also used in cheese cake. There will be music and entertainment for the children, such as pony riding, face painting and a raffle. As soon as it gets dark, St. Nikolaus will approach in his horse carriage and distribute little gifts to the kids.
After 8pm, there will be an “post-nikolaus-party”. All revenue will be donated to local charities.
DEC 4-8 and 11-13 from 11 am – 10 pm: Christmas Market Fuessen in yard of St. Mang monastery

NOV28 – DEC 23 from 12noon to 9pm daily: Kempten Christmas Market – the biggest Christma Market in the region
The biggest Christmas market of the entire region will take place for 4 weeks in the historic old town of Kempten, only 35 minutes from Schwangau and Birkeneck Luxury Holiday Home – straight up the A7.
