What a fantastic family holiday! All the ingredients for what my family loves. Great winter sports, great natural beauty all around and so accessible from Munich. If one thinks about German Carnival, one thinks of Cologne at best, but to our delight, Schwangau has a strong carnival tradition, too.
The active local carnival club organizes annual carnival parades early February and a fabulous carnival show displayed in the “Kurhaus” (Schwangau’s cultural centre) on 3 different dates in the month of January.
